Dr. Thomas Frank Hastings, MD

I do not recommend this Dr. to anyone . He does not listen to you patiently nor touch you to do the assessment. He dismissed me from his office before I even finish discussing what I came for. I have never encountered with such a rude and incompetent Dr. in my life. When I reported him to my Dr. who is his partner Dr. Paul Ganninger and requested to be seen , he engorged my text and never contacted me. ( I saw Dr. Hastings because my Dr. was not available). Please avoid this group they have already bad reviews.

I suffered from a bad sinus infection for over a month. He recommended I take over the counter medicine and return after a couple of weeks. After two visits and persistent sinusitis, he was reluctant to prescribe an antibiotic. This is his overall attitude towards seeing a someone get better from my experience as a patient for a few years now.

I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in a doctors office. He did not listen to any concerns I had and told me to tell the other doctor about it. What type of doctor says that?? UH yeah I will see any other doctor and I hope nobody else makes the same mistake as I did. Avoid him if you care about your health.

Been seeing Dr Hastings and staff for years. Excellent, efficient and knowledgeable!!!

I called to get a refill and they advised couldn't do because I needed to see doctor for type of drug it is every 6 months. I asked why they didn't tell me this last month when I called for refill and she said didn't know. They advised they would call back, which they didn't. I called them and the office manager said she spoke with girl from last month and said she told me. This person did not tell me I know with certainity and I would have made the appointment at that time. Stay clear of this office.

Do not become a doctor if you do not care about your patients. Dr. Hastings was not interested in any of my problems because one of them concerned a neck injury and I needed pain medication to help me until I could see the neurosurgeon still weeks away. With all of the new rules on pain medication, he assumed that he would/could not help me and began cutting off my sentences and acting confused by everything I said. He ignored my major issues that I was seen in the ER for and would not look at my MRI report to see that I have real and valid reasons for the pain. He started becoming condescending and said he could not understand why I was there, even though I had in my hands a referral for ulcer work up and neck pain evaluation, he never looked at it once. He said I needed to see a psychiatrist (even though I already do since I tragically lost first my son). Those were his final words to me. I felt insulted, judged, and completely ignored. If you are expecting care and compassion in any… form, this is not the doctor for you. Good luck to anyone in pain who can use it for medical reasons and be responsible. These rules and guildines are punishing the wrong people. You have to subject yourself to doctors like this who automatically treat you like one of those people who are out of control, and they are scared to help you so they leave you in a state of severe pain where your only choice is the ER. And the ER will eventually stop helping you because you will be going there too offer, forcing you to look like those people who seek out drugs to missuse. THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY TO HANDLE THIS SITUATION. NO PERSON IN LEGITIMATE PAIN WITH IMAGING/DOCTOR REFERRALS CAN HAVE ACCESS TO PAIN CONTROL IF NEEDED. DOCTORS ARE TOO SCARED TO WRITE PRESCRIPTIONS, THAT THEY LEAVE THEIR PATIENTS UNTREATED TO SAVE THEMSELVES FROM THE HARSH RETALIATION OF THE GOVERNMENT. Thank, Dr. Hastings, for being a perfect example of a doctor that chooses themselves over their oath to take care of their patients and the oath of Esse Health that states “We want you well”. Maybe you need to remember what your job is and start doing it correctly again. Take care of your patients, don’t insult them.

He has been my physician for many years and I would recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr Hastings was very accommodating with seeing me for an appointment as a new patient, when I was working out of town. His staff is very courteous and helpful when assisting the patients.

Sometimes short and curt. Other times more approachable. Almost every visit I leave with a pamphlet relating to my visit. When I first interviewed with him, when I was looking for new doctor, he seemed very approachable. After three years, I now hate to go to him. Last visit he showed me graph of weight loss. i felt berated by his comments. Then he asked if I wanted to see nutritionist. Turns out nutritionist only works with "Take Shape For Life" (Medifast). She told me this is the only program Hastings has for weight loss. I need someone with better attitude and fewer pamphlets.

My initial impression about him is that he was very defensive. One of the first thing he said to me without knowing anything about my medical history was â??there is only so much we can doâ??. After making several visits to his office I realized, there was only so much he wanted to do. He never took the initiative to research my condition. I would have to go on the internet and inquire about my symptoms. Then go back to him and tell him what my diagnoses and method of treatment should be. As long as my suggestions did not involve a recommended operation or a drug that was costly he would prescribe what I told him. Otherwise, he would fabricate medical reasons why he could not approve this treatment. If it required effort on his part to work with a drug company to approve the drug for my treatment, which he admitted had been successful in other patients, he would say it was a long drawn out process that may take months or years for approval. He told me he would check into it but… did nothing! In summation - do to his uncaring, indifferent, lack of lack of unitive, and negative attitude â??I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIMâ??!!!i
