Thomas D. Henry, FNP

Thomas Henry, MSN, FNP-BC has nearly 30 years of experience in the nursing field. He began his career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and continued his education to earn an Associates of Science in Nursing, graduating Cum Laude, from Roane State Community College in Harriman, Tenn.; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, graduating with distinction, from King University in Bristol, Tenn.; and a Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tenn. He is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. His nursing experience includes long-term care, critical care, Emergency Medicine and Cardiology. Prior to joining Starr Cardiology Associates, Thomas covered Cardiology night call for two cardiac catheterization teams. His responsibilities included after-hours admissions/transfers, inpatient consults, early morning discharges, activation of cardiac interventional teams, after hours emergent office call, management of chronic cardiac, …emergent cardiac and related disease pathologies.In his free time, Thomas enjoys participating in various outdoor activities, including mountaineering and hunting, especially in cold weather. He is an avid bow hunter, hiker, fisherman, backpacker, boater and camper. His wife Emily, and their daughters often join him on adventures into the outdoors.
