Dr. Thomas Herschmiller, MD

Dr. Herschmiller's explanation of my problems, surgical procedures indicated, pros and cons, expectations, and after surgery care needed was excellent. His personality was very good and he took the time to answer all our questions without showing signs of being in a hurry to get on to the next patient! My surgery went well and I am very happy with the results ! Dr. Herschmiller is a very valuable asset to our community ! Candy Wisman

I personally am not a patient of Dr Herschmiller, however I was with my brother-in-law, Brian Petersen, today, before and after his knee replacement. I am an RN and have worked with many physicians. I am extremely impressed with Dr Hurschmiller’s qualities. Dr H took the needed time and kindly and gently explained all that was necessary before surgery. Because of his unrushed compassionate manner, my bro-in-law and sister were totally at ease before surgery. After the 3 hour complicated surgery, rather than a boastful explanation or drawing attention to his expertise, Dr H again, with humility and kindness, realistically and positively explained the successful outcome with the focus on my brother-in-law and his expected recovery. I would recommend Dr H to anyone needing orthopedic surgery. He’s a great example also for other practitioners in delivering understandable patient education and in showing sincere care and respect. My old right hip looked on the e-ray like a pile of hamburger; I couldn't work any more because of the pain. Today I saw an x-ray of my new right hip and it's perfect. I'm doing my exercises to make sure I fulfill my part in my recovery. Dr Hershmiller has been so kind and supportive. He's a good listener and really cares. He came to check on me each day I was in the hospital and I'm very happy with his work. The staff have also been wonderful.
