Dr. Thomas Francis Johnson, MD

For many years I had only routine visits that were handled by his knowledgeable and caring staff of nurse practitioners. I always liked that I could book an appointment for the next day. However, when I became sick with a difficult illness Dr. Johnson himself took a personal interest and showed himself to be extremely knowledgeable way beyond his allergy specialty. He didn’t have reservations to perform many necessary tests and then set me up with the specialists I needed. His office has much of the equipment, x-ray, CT scan, bone density machine, and blood drawing facility, so you don’t have to go to another place for these tests. Like others have complained, he does get backed up at times. I’m sure that that is because someone else is receiving extra attention that wasn’t scheduled. Today in his office, that was me. If you are concerned about waiting, then book an appointment early in the morning.

Very rude staff. Wait time is ridiculous.. Only see a Physician Assistant... Unless u ask to see him and the wait time is longer.. I knew from day one it was a huge mistake...

SOME OF THE STAFF NEED TO BE ON THE SAME PAGE. MORE OF HALF THE TIME WHEN IN GO THERE THEY DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THE SEEM TO BE IN A DAZE AND OR LOST.

I was a patient of Dr. Johnson for more than 5 years. I kept wanting to find a new primary care doctor but because he was both an allergist and primary doctor I stayed out of convenience. I think in the 5 years I saw him once but saw a multitude of support staff. He has a revolving staff of NP's and RN's. There are more medical assistants in there than anything else. The office staff is down right rude and mean there is no other way of saying it. After one particularly tough visit which ended with me being told after waiting an hour and a half in a room that I would need to go to the ER, I complained to the doctor personally at my next visit but nothing has changed. At my annual physical I was sent out into the hallway with a cup and told to walk through the waiting room with a urine sample. No bag or any type of privacy was provided. I have had to constantly call in for test results only to be sent to voicemails never to have calls returned. I would not recommend this… practice to anyone and have since left the practice.

Dr Johnson and his staff went above and beyond to take me as a new patient, scheduled immediate appointment, completed testing and treatment expediently. Highly recommend this medical practice.

wait time is over 3 hrs WAY TO LONG..THEY seen to think it Allright to over over book patients ..like our time is not important

Worst Doctor Ever!!!!!

Dr. Johnson is a truly dedicated doctor. I am always able to get an appointment, even if it is at the last minute. I know Dr. Johnson is really interested in my being healthy. He has the very latest equipment to help me with my asthma and sinus problems. He will answer any questions I have on line or in person. Dr. Johnson is an excellent listener. The asthma plan he has made for me works very well. I am very blessed to have a professional like Dr. Johnson as my physician.

Made and appointment with Dr. Johnson and it was changed to his physician assistant. I was never told. I waited for almost an hr in the waiting room with only 1 other person that was taken as soon as he arrived. The Nurse assistant the took my vitals was nice. The entire place is very old and run down. The call system is something from the 50s with push button lights. The office staff only said that they liked people with my insurance. I didn't want allergy testing because I was switching from my Boston MD to local. I had my records and knew my allergies. They said it was required by insurance. I did the testing and was told I was allergic by several other things that I never tested positive for in 15 years of seeing my Boston allergist but I don't have any signs of being allergic to Lima Beans, Orchards, some strange grass and trees. Funny that my allergy to cats (which is severe) and pollen didn't show up in this testing. They told me blood work would be needed to tell… them the depth of the allergy????? Not going back. According to them I'm not allergic to what I've been treated for over the past 15 years and is under control? I just need to transfer to a local doc now that I moved. Bye bye Johnson..... Don't go to this office people

Although the staff is very skilled, it's not managed correctly, so every office visit is just horrible. No one ever knows what is what, it's like pulling teeth to get them to do what they are suppose to, like fax something somewhere. You always end up there for at least 3 hours for visits in Andover. You ask 3 people something, I would say you'd get 3 different answers, but you usually don't get one. I FULLY regret starting there. You as the patient do no matter what so ever. Shot visits are pretty quick and easy and lots of locations.
