Dr. Thomas Peter Kalman, MD

Dr Kalman is professional and has been very helpful to me in dealing with my relationship issues. He has gotten me to rethink my actions and my intentions. He has followed up with me twice so far, outside our normal meetings, which I greatly appreciated.

He has kept me alive for 40 years

A few years ago, I was referred to Dr. Kalman through the psychiatrist of a friend. I was in a time of acute emotional crisis, and I made this clear during the first meeting. That meeting was followed over the subsequent two weeks or so by approximately four or five more meetings, some of them extended. I was beginning to feel that this was someone who might be able to help me. At the next meeting, Dr. Kalman announced to me that he was ready to make recommendations to refer me on to another therapist. He explained that he was going to be following an extensive travel schedule in the near future and so would be unable to meet my needs. But, he said, he had gained from our meetings a good basis upon which to make a referral. At no time prior to this had Dr. Kalman indicated that he would not be available to meet during my time of crisis. At no time did he state that he was seeing me only to assess me for referral purposes. At no time did I agree to meet with him for only that… purpose. In the meantime, I had invested myself emotionally in a possible therapeutic relationship. I had also invested in the equivalent perhaps a dozen session fees. I never saw Dr. Kalman again.

Began seeing Dr. Kalman decades ago and has completely changed my relationship with my spouse and kids. Saw another psychiatrist prior and was not happy with her so asked for a referral and got Dr. Kalman's name. Always calls me back within 12 hours even when on vacation (I believe he's been to South America, Asia...). Also recommended excellent psychiatrist for my son (college student) suffering from depression. The best!

NO DIAGNOSIS NO "CARE "-- WALKED IN WITH A LIMP AND A BIGOTED RUSH TO JUDGMENT THAT LANDED ME IN HOSPITAL AND HE SIMPLY RAN WITH IT. i WAS SIMPLY AN "ANNUITY PAYMENT" tRYING TO FIND THE CORRECT LEVEL OF MEDICATION CAUSED ME TO COMPLETELY BLACK OUT, IN YET ANOTHER HOSPITAL WHERE I WENT OFF THE "MEDICATIONS" AND BACK IN SCHOOL LESS THAN A MONTH LATER-- THAT WAS 28 YEARS AGO-- NEVER HAD A PROBLEM SINCE. IT WAS ALL DUE TO STRESS OVER COLLEGE SOPHOMORE EXAMS-- LABEL ANYONE WITHOUT FEAR OF LIABILITY, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY HAVE A DISABILITY TO BEGIN WITH. aT THE TIME, HE CALLED FOR HIS LAST PAYMENT TO WHICH MY FATHER RESPONDED " PAY ME-- i WANT TO SUE YOU"-- LAST CONTACT WITH THAT QUACK
