Dr. Thomas W. Kiesler, MD

I went to Dr. Kiesler to repair a spiral fracture of my ring finger. It was a bad break on my dominant hand, so I wasn't sure it could be fixed to "good as new" condition. I was hoping for "good enough." Between the skillful surgery and the consistent rehab, I'm truly good as new. He has a sober demeanor, but I didn't go to him to make a new friend or to engage in chatty repartee...I needed my hand back in use and he delivered.

There was nothing to like about this doctor. He has no empathy whatsoever. His bedside manners are terrible. he says he's gonna do something and does absolutely nothing to help you. He picks the people he likes and those are the ones helps. So, if you choose to see him, you just better hope that he likes you. otherwise, you will be walking out of his office the same way that I did and that was in PAIN. I would NEVER EVER EVER recommend this this doctor to ANYONE!!!

Dr. Kiesler is AMAZING. He knew my questions before I did. He answered everything before I could think to ask, and superbly managed my expectations in all areas (eg. pain, post-op limitations, time frame for healing, etc.). He was thorough in his explanations. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the assertive approach he took for HIS part of my trauma, and his conservative for MY part (I thought I should be back to work in 2-3 weeks when he so wisely had me out longer and with a gradual/part-time return). Don't be swayed by Dr. Kiesler's less-than-bubbly demeanor. He's a surgeon, and he takes his part in the repair and healing of your injury VERY seriously. That said, he IS quite personable and is willing to take as long as necessary to answer questions and provide only the best care.
