Dr. Thomas Allan Koepke, MD

Misdiagnosed a severe ruptured disc in my wife's neck for "being a weekend worrior" by canoeing. "Says you just pulled a muscle" Never even took an x-ray. Had to get a second opinion from the family physician. Then she had to wait 2 more weeks in excruciating pain to get surgery. Forever damaging the nerves in that area and will never have a pain free life. Thanks for nothing.

I saw this physician on what seemed like a normal Sunday in ER. He was arrogant, dismissive and incorrect about the tick that had bitten my 2 year old daughter. He insisted that the tick which had attached was "only" a wood-tick. I kept the tick and have now confirmed with 2 university labs, that this tick was a deer-tick, the species known to carry Lyme. I can only imagine how many individuals have taken his word and walked out of Aspirus, only to return with Lyme or another misdiagnosis. His arrogance was disgusting and Aspirus Wausau Hospital should be embarrassed that this individual is representing their organization.

Dr. Koepke’s bedside manner is excellent. His compassion and quality of care made a long afternoon in the ER much more bearable.

No more Aspirus

I don't trust male medical staff. But somehow he made me comfortable he was awesome

Aspirus ED has hits & misses when it comes to staffing. Koepke is a hit. Very knowledgeable, personable, and competent. He took a genuine interest when other ED staff did not. He has compassion, a wonderful bedside manner, and just a real treat. We hope that on future visits to the ED, Dr. Koepke is present. We know we can rely on him!

Appears totally incompetant. Would not trust my dog with this man. Have not and will not go back to Aspirus's ER specifically to avoid this man's ignorance, lack of concern & complete neglect of care.

This man has an ego so big I don't know how his head supports weight of it. I have chronic medical conditions and my family phystion can manage it from the office because it requires IV fluids nausea and pain medication. He acted the last time I must be faking because I didn't let my Dr know and he acted like I child rolling his eyes and rude comments then didn't follow a treatment plan that one of the Dr's had put in as what works most effectively whether i am released or admitted. I have dealt with him many times every once in a while he will be ok but I would ask for a different Dr if I were you I know I will ne!

Seemed like a very good guy and would recommend him to anyone. Very straight up and knew what he was doing. I applaude this outstanding man.
