Dr. Thomas John Kraus, DO

Explained to Dr Kraus where pain was in hip & he made steps to provide shots to assist with relief from pain. Installed pain pump couple years ago & it has changed my life for the better. Best pain management professional I have visited & been seen by. Thanks to Dr Kraus I have an outstanding daily life, which is not spent in bed or on couch or hurting all day long from pain from past surgeries.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Kraus and his associates! I have been seeing him for close to 20 years since he practiced in Birmingham and now that he is in Huntsville I make the drive up there every 2 months. When you find such a caring and compassionate doctor you want to continue to see him. His staff is also the best, I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else!

Have been a pain pump patient for over 20 years and was very great full to transfer to Dr. Krauss and his team several years ago. Excellent care and I have no complaints. Had a cath study yesterday that was a breeze thanks to this team.

Dr. Kraus is great. I deliberately chose him because he interned at the Cleveland Clinic which is one of the best hospitals for back issues. The only thing I don’t like and can’t stand is the Huntsville Hospital’s irresponsible attitude towards answering their phone calls in a timely fashion. I’ve been in their automated answering system for over 90 minutes at times. There is not one valid excuse for the hospital to provide such poor phone service. The hospital is too cheap to hire enough people to adequately man their lines. The hospital is afraid to list the salary of its CEO Jeff Samz which I’m sure is more money than the salaries of 20 phone operators. The lost of one star is due to this difficulty of reaching a real person within 5 to 10 minutes of calling.

Very good bedside manner, explains things well, very likable, and very good at what he does. Great staff as well. Would highly recommend to anyone!

The entire team here is absolutely incredible! You are never subjected to the stigma of needing pain management. Had my 5th back injection, all different to address the current situation. I’ve been a patient for 3 years and have never been so well managed.

Dr Kraus is such a wonderful, patient and knowledgeable doctor. I was referred to him by my surgeons office in Birmingham for back pain. I listen to him, know he knows best and so far I have been more able to get around better than in years. I am so thankful I was referred to Dr Kraus. He and the nurses and staff at his office are all so thoughtful and I KNOW I am in good hands.
