Dr. Thomas Alexander Lalonde, MD

I lost confidence in his abilities as a physician and was forced to find another cardiologist. He limits his time for appointments and thus is not accessible to his patients. Decisions as to severity of issues, etc are left to the non physician staff.It is almost impossible to get in to see him if there is a problem or to get him on phone. The disrespect for patients from the front desk staff is very disturbing. They are staff is rude and inconsiderate. Their main concern is their convenience and how to best accomdate themselves, NOT THE PATIENTS. At my last and final appointment, I watched the front desk turn away elderly patients who came in due to problems with their heart or medicication, and were turned away because the doctor was "busy" and they did not have appointments. So, there are non physicians in that office making decisions about a patient's "emergency" and that is very scary.He could be the best doctor in the world but if he cannot find time to see and care for his… patients, then he is useless.

There is a reason why he has been rated as a Top Doctor in Cardiology by Hour Detroit Magazine consistantly and is highly regarded by his peers. I have complete trust in him and would highly recommend him to other patients. Never have I felt rushed or uncared for. He is a no-nonsense doctor but is always willing to explain himself thoroughly to make sure the patient fully understands what is going on.
