Dr. Thomas John Lavie, MD

I had the great privilege of being able to see Thomas Lavie at Vanderbilt Psychiatrics. He helped me a lot. He was very honest and straightforward and didn't try to play head games with me. Unfortunately, I don't have anything good to say about any of the other psychiatric professionals that I dealt with at Vanderbilt Psychiatrics. Dr. Thomas Lavie is in a different league than almost all the other psychiatric professionals that I have dealt with. He's great.

VERY RUDE. Would not communicate or make eye contact. Was not actually asking or listening to my concerns, just pushing medications without listening to symptoms. He would not complete the appointment and told me to see someone else.

I was a patient of Dr. Lavie for over two years, but I had to move out of state. In all the years I sought treatment I finally found the right Doctor. I will truly miss him.

No communication. Inconvienced by every appointment.

Within 5 minutes of my first appointment he asked if I wanted a bite of the tuna salad he was eating, told me he liked my eyes, told me I could take up to 400 mg of a medicine I'm only taking 50 mg of and it wouldn't hurt me and he scratched his back on the corner of the wall as he talked. Insane. How is he a doctor?

This ignoramus diagnosed me as having a psychosomatic problem EVEN WHEN MY EMG TESTS PROVED DEFINITIVELY IT WAS PHYSICAL! EMG studies (several) confirmed I had serious peripheral nerve loss in my legs -- even then this quack insisted it was all just in my imagination! EMG machines have no imagination, nor do leg nerves biopsied as dead. A TOTAL INCOMPETENT!
