Dr. Thomas Powell Luft, DO

I have been going to the Methodist Clinic for awhile now and enjoyed the convenience and Doctor that I had. Dr. Luft took his place. I have always had my blood work done a week before my appointments with my general practitioner and heart doctor. Try my best to have everything scheduled close together. We all got the results before my appointments and were able to talk them over. Months ago I talked with his office, Dr. Luft's, and they said he didn't usually order blood work until his initial visit. I told them I always had them done before appointments and why. They conceded and made an appointment for me for 1/9/2018 at 7:20am. They called today, 1/8/2018 to cancel the blood work and said they wouldn't order it til after an initial visit. Way to go, now I have nothing to talk over with Dr. Luft or my heart doctor. Needless to say I won't be going to see him and now looking for a general practitioner.

Dr Luft is one of the best doctors I have ever had to deal with. he is clear, concise, caring and will not just push pills at you to get you to believe he is doing his job. he really works with his patients to ensure total health.

Dr Luft is a doctor who believes in taking care of his patients. He is a skilled physician, but letâ??s be honest, there are a lot of skilled doctors out there. The difference is in Dr. Luft's caring attitude. He is proactive, thorough and consistent. He is never too busy to listen to your concerns. He explains your health to you in terms that can be easily understood without being condescending or patronizingâ?¦ you are a real person to Dr. Luft. I am a granny who has been around for a whileâ?¦as corny as it may sound, Dr. Luft reminds me of our old-fashion family doctor of long ago. Heâ??s available, caring and real.

Absolutely hands down the best doctor I've ever seen, takes time to sit down and talk to you, listens, very thorough, wonderful personality. Feel fortunate to have found him.

When my husband Jerry was hospitalized at Covenant Dec 2012, Dr. Luft was the Hospitalist. Jerry received the very best care possible from Dr. Luft, Dr. was very good in explaining what was going on, why, what was being done. Dr. showed care and compassion as well as excellent doctoring. Also did consult with Jerry's pulmonologist. Highly recommend Dr. Luft.
