Dr. Thomas Charles Martin JR., MD

A native of Tazewell, Virginia, Dr. Martin is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he studied on an Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship. He entered active duty with the U.S. Navy and completed an internship at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. Following his internship, Dr. Martin served as General Medical Officer with Marine Air Control Group 28 at Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station in North Carolina for two years. He returned to Medical Center Portsmouth for residency training in pathology. Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Martin served two years as General Pathologist and Director of Clinical Pathology at the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In September 2001, Dr. Martin was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after nine years of service. Dr. Martin joined Carolinas Pathology Group and Celligent Diagnostics in September 2001 and serves as Medical Director and Primary Pathologist at …Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle, North Carolina.
