In 2015 I was rushed to one hospital and transferred to Johnston Willis with two aneurisms in my head one that ruptured and was stinted br Dr mattingly the other coiled temporary fix... when I came to I was informed by my mother and sister that he said my condition was the result of my lifestyle....what ever happened to dr patient confidentiality.. they thought I had been using drugs mind you I had just left work. I never went back to see this dr for follow up!!’

My husband fell off a ladder. He developed a brain bleed a month later. At midnight, when we arrived at the ER, there was no neurosurgeon on duty. Due to my husbands condition, Dr. Mattingly rushed to the hospital where he was operating within minutes. 4 surgeries and one year later, my husband is back. It was a long, hard road to recovery, but with prayer and Doc Mattingly, we have a 2nd chance. We have the utmost respect and admiration for him.

I would choose Dr. Mattingly again. He provided expert care. My surgery was difficult, but handled with precision and expertise. Excellent result.

Dr. Mattingly really pressured me into a surgery at a hospital that I don't like at all. Not only was the surgery a horrible experience, he doesn't care at all about follow up appointments. He made me wait an hour just to speak with me for 2 minutes. His nurse, Shannon, was also very rude. She made me feel like I was a nuisance when I asked her for paperwork that I needed for school. His billing department is also terrible. They hold my payments and then it looks as if I was late paying. They are also very rude whenever I call with questions. I haven't had one positive experience with this place and will never go back.

My husband and I really appreciated Dr. Mattingly taking as much time as we needed to ask questions and his nurse Shannon is amazing also. My husband had a large brain tumor that required two separate surgeries and Dr. Mattingly and/or Shannon were always available to ask questions. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon.
