Terrible dismissive couldn't careless

I was extremely satisfied with the doctors exam and his interest in finding the problem that I’ve been dealing with for many months and seeing as many doctors. He and his nurse Johanne made me feel relaxed and comfortable with my procedure.

Had a tumor (benign) removed from throat, but he also took out 10 lymph nodes from my neck. Totally unnecessary, per other doctors I've seen since. It was all a money making business for him! Then, he left Moffitt Cancer Center a few months later to work at USF Health. Had a follow-up appt there and he was very dismissive. I wish i had gone to the first ENT for the tumor removal. My mistake!!!

I went to Dr. Mccaffrey after a colleague of his (Dr. Witte) was no help. I was hoping he would be better and help diagnose my issue but, unfortunately, he was nearly as bad...if not worse. He spent next to no time asking my symptoms, my concerns, and anything else. He looked in my mouth with a mirror then told me nothings wrong with me. He then got up and attempted to leave the room. I requested further testing, scans, or something to help diagnose my issue. He refused to help and told me to come back in 6 weeks if the problem persists. It's now been 3.5 weeks and the problem remains. I will not return to USF's ENT office for my next visit. The 2 ENT Dr's (Mccaffrey and Witte) are about the most inattentive & unhelpful doctors I've encountered in my lifetime. Dr. Mccaffrey made the visit seem as if I was interrupting his day. This guy was the opposite of most doctors in the sense that typically they would want to do every test under the sun to tell you that you have the flu. This… time, I was requesting additional testing and they refused to help.

Although Dr McCaffrey was unable to help with my issue, he was very nice and listened to my problem and referred me to and specialist. Super nice staff, very professional, no waiting. Beginning to end great experience other than being referred. That was not their fault.

By far the most negligent Dr. I have ever come across. DO NOT GO TO HIM!

Disappointed..he spent very little time with me. Never asked if I had any symptoms and didn’t give me a chance to ask questions. He did the sonogram and said he didn’t feel it needed a biopsy, when I was told by another doctor it should be. That’s fine, but take a little time to explain why.

He is the worst doc I have ever met. I've had had the worst experience. He is very negligent. He has zero communication and zero follow up. He messed up my surgery with no plans to fix. He rushes in office visit. Disappeared in middle of asking questions. Emails and calls never get returned.

was told my diagnois was benign when it was non-diaganotic I beleive he is a good doctor, but he doesn't explain things very much.

Found him very stoic, very poor bedside manners. Sharp to his answers when I asked questions. My husband was sent there by his local dermatologist to remove a cancer from his face. He ( Mc Caffery was supposed to have some knowledge of plastic surgery, Wrong, he is a butcher. Went back to his dermatologist and he was surprised as to the out come. Went to another plastic surgeon and concurred that a poor job was done. BTW his cancer has progressed AFTER we were told by Mc Craffery that is was completely gone. The Moffitt Cancer Center is terrific and would go there again but not to this DR.
