Dr. Thomas Philip Mcweeney, MD

Do not go to Dr. McWeeney. Check with the Oregon Medical Board and the disciplinary action against him. I was an emergency otherwise I would’ve never gone to him. Fair warning. Poor surgical techniques and inappropriate behavior.

Dr. McWeeney performed surgery on my ankle, and I have been seen for my thumb and shoulder since then. I moved from the area after my ankle and I now travel 1-1/2hrs each way to see him. He saw my daughter last week and will see my husband this week. I am very confident of Dr McWeeney.

He is an extremely knowledgeable doctor, kind, caring, and capable.

The very best of care. Kind and open with discussion about the injury, what surgery would entail, and what the healing process would be. I am one year post op (rotator cuff repair) with full mobility and no more pain. Just like brand new. Would recommend Dr. McWeeney very highly.

This was the best doctors visit I have ever had. No wait time, the staff was very courteous and energetic. I will be referring my friends and family.

I was seen by Dr Mcweeney, after my doctor retired from their office. He has done two surgeries one on my foot and another on my hand. I have great faith in him and will return if I need his services in the future. I have never had any trouble getting in to see him. I would remend him to family and friends.

As a medical professional I am quite used to working with Md's, & as a patient, I am used to compassionate care; Dr. McWeeney was neither compassionate nor was he professional. I saw McWeeney after 1 of his partners had operated on me. Complications arose during surgery & I was hospitalized for 2 days. "Dr." McWeeney visited me in the hospital the day after my surgery. He came into my room yelling & complaining that my surgery was supposed to be a day surgery & "Why was I wasting his time & hospital resources by staying 2 days in the hospital"? I had been up all night in extreme pain & was very nauseated, & I answered saying that hospitalization was not my idea, that I was admitted right after surgery while I was still in the recovery room & quite unconscious. He continued to holler, rave & rant. I asked him for a different muscle relaxant because the one I was on was not working, & as he exited the room he shouted, "if you want to become an addict, fine"! I have never in my entire… life been treated as badly by ANYONE as I was by "DR."McWeeney, nor have I ever worked with a physician who displayed such angry & inappropriate behavior. I would caution anyone seeking medical attention from this physician. I have no idea why he was so angry, belligerent, combative & downright psychotic but such displays should warrant attention from the Medical Board. Something is definitely wrong with this man!
