Dr. Thomas Jan Meeks, DO

Dr. Meeks performed a breast reduction and lift on me. Post op I had a very small opening in my incision, which became slightly bigger. I sent him photos, he didn't care about it. Perhaps he sees this often, but it's unnerving when it's happening in your own body. As time went on, my breasts became a sort of square shape, with the left one showing a significant dent in the underside. I mean, he was successful in the literal reduction aspect of this surgery. They are, in fact, smaller. But now they're ugly. They weren't ugly before. They were just heavy. The areolae don't match now, and they're weird-shaped. When I voiced my concerns during an appt with my shirt off, he shrugged and said "I've seen much worse". I'm now saving money to look into an out-of-pocket revision to cover up his eyesore work.

There are multiple things to express here but first and foremost I feel violated, dehumanized and treated horribly including by Mr Meeks who personally told me to smile as he photographed my breasts as it "increases odds of insurance improval". I was there due to a small benign mass and under extreme stress and was treated like my health was worth nothing. I will be filing complaints wherever possible to document my experience and would advise to stay away from this practice.

I saw Dr. Meeks for a breast reduction consultation. He was very informative regarding the procedure and what to expect in regards to the insurance. He answered all of my questions. I am less nervous than I would have expected and hope to get approval soon.

Dr. Meeks and his staff are a caring group. They handled my anxiety with ease and humor. I highly recommend him for breast reduction surgery.

Had a surgery I had been dreading! Dr. Meek's staff made me feel so comfortable! Dr. Meek's did the surgery with such skill I had very little recovery time! That was a year ago, never felt better in my life, thanks to this team!

You will not find a better doctor than Dr. Meeks. He was there for me on a moments notice, I cannot give a higher praise . He stayed with me throughout my entire reconstruction. I trust and can count on him.

Great all around! Had 10 surgeries in 2 years due to problem healing, thanks to radiation 5 years prior. So it was a real journey with Dr. Meeks but I never felt alone in it. He had my hand and guided me through it all the way, even when I just wanted to curl up under the cover and sleep. Lol

My recent breast reduction went so well. Dr. Meeks is a extremely skilled surgeon and all of his staff is were wonderful. I am so happy and pleased with my results. It is such a blessing and relief to have the surgery behind me. Going forward with confidence!

I am so sorry I didn't find this page earlier. I don't know how to get a hold of you all that I've had bad experiences. I had breast reconstruction surgery that begin in 2011 and ended in 2013 with the removal of my implants. I wish I would have seen this site sooner and posted my experience so that maybe some of you wouldn't have gone through what I did. Again, I am so sorry I didn't do this sooner. I am horribly scarred for life, have limited mobility, and I am in constant pain. I wish I could somehow contact all of you who had like experiences. I will try somehow. Please get more than just the one opinion of a very arrogant Dr.
