Dr. Thomas Lawton Mertz, DO

Dr. Mertz is absolutely wonderful. He is the doctor to figure out what I had. UPMC and AHN couldn’t find what was wrong, but Dr. Mertz did.

Dr. Mertz is excellent, the office staff is friendly and helpful. My husband and myself have been in treatment with him for a couple years and are very satisfied. I wish the billing department would stay open later and suggested this to another employee. It was explained to me that I was not the only one who complains about the billing department closing at such an early hour and there needs to be a change. When you are able to discuss your bill you have to hear about all her ailments, eye surgery, getting hit with a car, broken leg etc. I need to get my bill corrected and get back to work because I have to call early during my work hours. Even though the billing department is not the best it does not reflect on quality treatment.

Dr. Mertz is a very good doctor in his field. He diagnosed me correctly on the first visit. His treatment has corrected my allergies giving me a better quality of life. I would recommend him to family and friends. The billing department could use some improvement it closes midday at 3:00 pm. whereas you are told to call early the following day.
