Dr Tom Moorcroft

I'm not one to write bad reviews about anything or anyone, but I'm so disappointed with Dr. Tom, I think others need to know what they're getting into. In 2012, after seeing numerous doctors with no answers, I found Dr. Tom and it started off very promising and I was very thankful to have him as my doctor. At the time he was still expensive but not as expensive as he is now. He diagnosed me with late Lyme, but when I didn't respond to oral antibiotics, he basically stopped trying to treat the Lyme and just started managing my symptoms. Considering he’s a Lyme specialist, that's really disappointing. He just gave up after one round of oral ABX. Didn't even try an IV or any other unconventional forms of treatment. The next few years were spent getting tests and trying out supplements, all which lead to dead-ends. We always liked seeing each other at appointments, we had a good doctor-patient relationship. So it really hurt when he seemed to care less and less as the years passed. I… watched as his ego grew and as he seemed to care more about money than patients. He would never talk to you if you didn't have an appointment. Have a question for him outside of appointments? You have to go through his front-desk staff, who were always students and most of the time made mistakes. I couldn't even get him to refill one of my antibiotics prescriptions, he needed me to make an appointment with him first. Which I couldn't do because it was too expensive, and being on long-term antibiotics meant he needed me to see him every few weeks. The only way I thought I could express my concern to him was to email him directly (since the staff wasn't helpful), but I never got a reply. Not surprising. I stopped seeing him around the time that he sent out a [poorly written] letter saying that he decided to increase the cost of his already expensive appointments in order to expand his research. Why do we have to pay for him to do his research? Now I'm seeing another Lyme specialist, who is less expensive, offers many more effective treatment options in-office (Dr. Tom seemed to only offer ABX and supplements at the time), and was able to get me to start feeling better in less than a month, which Dr. Tom couldn't do in the 6+ years I was seeing him. No doctor who really cares about his patients would charge them so much and treat them so poorly.

As for my sadly experience a as chronic acute lyme disease patient a waste of money and probably last chance to recover my health. Very acute condition including digestive issues and spine. Choose him and travel out of my country besed on ratings and youtube videos. After payin $1945 per 2 first visits and lots of previous testing, new and old, and clearly asking if he can deal with my complex, late stage case, I came out with two creams and a Product I already had at home and a month follow up visit! Called him and left messages with her nurse asking for further gi testing, and other interventions since I was literally diyng at home with very poor responses. I had to look for aother Dr. . I month later next visit was another dissapointment. After, very poor accesible, walk infront of you when doing ivs and dont say hi or any word like he is escaping from something. He addmmited his perception was wrong with me as he thought I could wait and be without walking for many years and… thats kind of regular cases. Inrequired various rapid interventions and he did not perform. I am worse know and my gi issues never result with the product he insisted I used inspite I told it burned inside. I hope in his concious he knows he did nothing for whats he offered and should refer my case and at least half of the money. As I told him it was my last chance to keep alive. Uncompassionate, high ego, money maker Dr.

Dr. Moorcroft has gone above and beyond to help my son with his medical issues. He listens to all of our concerns and takes the time to give us explanations so that we can understand. He is a very caring and knowledgeable doctor and I am grateful for all that he has done for my son.

Dr. Tom is the best doctor I have ever seen. He listens, he cares, and works incredibly hard for his patients. He is a brilliant person, and he is humble enough to explain complicated medical terminology in layman's terms so the average person can understand what's going on. He is cheerful and energetic. He always asks , "Do you have any questions?" during an appointment and reminds you that he is just a phone call away should anything arise. I really can't say enough good things about him! I recommend him to friends, family, and acquaintances. He is a shining star in today's healthcare system!
