Dr. Thomas Matthew Morgan, MD

Absolutely disgraceful bedside manner.

This is the rudest man we have ever met. He walked into the room huffing and flopped down in his chair and was yelling, yes yelling loud enough that I'm sure the entire office could hear him, about how he was unable to get bloodwork test results from another doctor (before we even had a chance to speak). He proceeded to tell us that he has 10 other patients to see today, that are much more serious than our child and he didn't have time to deal with, or even discuss it with us any futher." He wouldn't so much as even look at our son. (so how does he know how serious our problem is?) All of this was said ,or I should say screamed, in front of our child. We left the office without treatment and will not return.

We were promptly there at 9 a.m. Dr. Morgan introduced himself and spent the next 7-8 minutes berating us because he did not have results from a test that we did not know he needed. The appointment was set 30 days ago his office should have made 1 phone call and we would have made sure he had what he needed, however, he was far more interested in letting us (as new patient) know that he was an Important Man with 10 critical patients to see and it's not his job to "do" paperwork it's ours! I ask if we could just get past this but this man would not let up. Finally I said we came here for help obviously you're not willing to help so I think we're done here. He was practically shouting at this point. He slams the folder shut, stomps to the door stating "Fine, if you change your mind come get me" ! I have Never seen someone so Rude and unprofessional as he!

Dr. Morgan is very thorough.He really listens to the patients issues and shows a kind understanding. If not for him my child and I would have never known that we had a genetic disorder.My child sees several specialists at Vanderbilt and I would have to rate him as one of the best we've seen.I wish all doctors at Vanderbilt were like him.

Dr. Morgan and his staff are wonderful, caring people. They listen, take the time to be thorough and answer all questions. Getting an appointment is quick and easy, and the waiting time is very short. Everyone is a professional and everything is done in a professional manner. I rate Dr. Morgan and staff very highly!
