Dr. Moye is a caring dental surgeon who does his best to make his patients comfortable while providing excellent care.

I had 17 teeth extracted by Dr. Moye. He knew that I was to have dentures as they were there in his office for immediate placement. I was asked to sign a paper saying that I realized that there might be bone fragments emerge post-op and that I would be responsible for the cost of removal. I am now 4 wks post op and while I do realize that there will be some bone fragments emerge, the condition of my gums is horrendous. I have numerous protruding areas of bone where it appears that when he pulled my teeth, he pulled them outward instead of downward. They are protruding at least an 1/8 to 1/4 inch around the gum line in places and I have several small pieces of bone protruding in addition to the now misshapen gums. These areas of protruding bone make it impossible to wear a denture. They are very painful to touch. I feel that Dr. Moye knew that I was to have an immediate denture placed and that he should have better prepped my gums for receiving them. My gums have a "buck teethed'… appearance with areas that protrude outward. I have had teeth pulled by a regular dentist before and he wiggled them and then pulled them either straight up or straight down. I was awake for that procedure and sedated for the oral surgery. My gum ridges are perfectly smooth where that dentist pulled my teeth. The gums ridges where Dr. Moye pulled my teeth are bumpy, with protruding areas and painful. He said that he will go in and do yet another surgery to fix them. I dont know if I even want him trying to fix the areas. I dont know if I will ever be able to wear dentures or not at this point. I am upset and disappointed at best. I am a 51 yr old professional attractive female who now has no teeth. I did have some teeth that could have been bonded and some that were salvagable prior to this procedure. I could have probably worn a partial but it was recommended that I get all of them pulled for a better fitting denture. I dont know where to go from here. I would not recommend this surgeon.
