Dr. Thomas Michael Naughton, MD

I've seen Dr. Naughton twice. The first time, a couple of years ago, after waiting in the exam room for over an hour, I went into the hallway, spoke to a nurse an found that they had forgotten about me. The 2nd visit was worse in regard to the waiting period...2 1/2 hours...in this urgent care facility. Two different nurses came in approximately 15 min. apart, the second unaware that the first one had been there. (I got weighed twice.) I had to tell the Doctor, when he finally arrived, that there had been a test performed for strep throat. He had no idea so he had to leave the room to check on the results. In addition, it took at least 10 min for him to print out the at-home-care instructions. He mentioned that the printer wasn't working properly. In the meantime, I was getting sicker by the minute, and finally, after two and a half hours, I was finally able to get an antibotic prescription. I doubt that the problems in this so-called 'urgent care' clinic lie only with Dr.… Naughton, but he certainly shares responsibility for the lack of organization among his staff!

Dr. Naughton is an attentive physician who takes his time to look at the entire picture and adopts a holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment. He has a very witty and caring bedside manner and is never hesitant to find creative approaches to treatment challenges.

Dr. Naughton is hesitant to recommend specialist care when needed, and also slow in recommending testing. He seems to resent patient advocates who want to contribute ideas about patient care.
