Dr. Thomas Karl Nelson, MD

He makes no secrets of his ultra-conservative views and he chastises you, he doesn't treat you. Not helpful at all as a patient; he doesn't care about the well-being of the patient. He cares about being an internet troll, but in person and acting as a doctor.

Dr. Thomas K. Nelson is excellent. He is kind, compassionate and caring. He enrolls you into making mental health decisions. He educates you regarding medications. He tailors medication regimens that you are comfortable with. Always punctual Always prepared In the 16 years that I’ve been seeing him he rescheduled an appointment once. When I arrived the next day he apologized and thanked me for my flexibility. He always returns calls, generally w/I an hour. Sometimes minutes. I’m so grateful he’s my doctor.

put me on prozac, which the records show I have a bad history with. Did not tell me to see a psychiatrist when I got back to tucson. I need Electro-convulsive therapy and should of gotten it at least 5 years ago, even ten. Asked my mother if she ever thought of kicking me out, and then said "he'll work to eat". Cold bedside manner and in my case, not helpful at all. The rest of Mayo was a good experience, though no diagnosis was made.
