Dr. Thomas J O'Dowd, MD

I had two total knee replacements with Dr O'Dowd and was very very satisfied. He does explain everything to you he answers your questions and he makes you feel comfortable being there. His staff is very nice and friendly had no problem with any of them at both of his locations. I would highly recommend Dr O'Dowd, he is a good surgeon and down to earth talking to people which I feel is very comforting.

Dr. O'Dowd was the most arrogant doctor I have ever seen. I went to him complaining about knee pain and he brushed me off as though I was making it up. He never examined my knee or ordered any tests, not even a simple xray. I went to another orthopedist, at a different office, who knew what he was doing, he did his job and discovered I had torn my meniscus. One month to the day of my visit with Dr. O'Dowd, I was in surgery having my meniscus repaired.

Waited over an hour for an IME exam. My appointment was 10:30. I got there at 10:15. At 11:45 I asked how much longer and she said very soon bc he takes 45 min to an hour with his IME exam patients. Finally at 12:00 I said I needed to get to work bc I myself work in a doctors office. Then she brought me back and Dr O’Dowd spent 10 maybe 15 min with me. Very unprofessional to make someone wait for that long. We do IME exams all the time and NEVER had a patient wait that long to spend a few minutes with them. He didn’t know anything about me which he should have read my information beings I am a legal case. Will NEVER go there again or refer anyone to him!!

Dr. O'Dowd has performed numerous surgeries from bi-lateral knee replacement, arthroscopes, and rotator repairs, I have been a patient for more than 20 years. Great care from Dr. O'Dowd through all of my injuries.

Dr. O'Dowd is a no nonsense, straight shooter. He was honest and up front with proposed treatment, he was caring and professional. I have seen him a few times over the last three years and highly recommend him. His staff is friendly and courteous and his billing department was efficient and friendly.The follow up on treatment was great. After seeing another Orthopedic surgeon for 5 years with no improvement. After the 1st visit, I was finally pain free and walking like a 20 year old. Thanks Dr O'Dowd!

When I began having problems with my knees, I was referred to Dr. O'Dowd by my primary. My first impression was that he wasn't caring enough and that maybe he was not the orthopedic surgeon for me. Rather than walk away, I stayed with Dr. O'Dowd. Over a period of nine years or so, I have had both my left and right knee replaced. Dr. O'Dowd performed each surgery. There were no complications with any part of the procedure and or follow-ups throughout the years. He is the best! I put all my faith in Dr. O'Dowd.

HE.S EASY T TALK WITH AND GETS RIGHT DOWN TO THE PROBLEM, I TRUST HIS JUDGEMENT COMPLETELY. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A ORTHOPEDIC , DR. O'DOWD IS THE RIGHT CHOICE!!!!THE STAFF IS VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL.HE,S JUST A WONDERFUL CARING DOCTOR.
