Dr. Thomas Scott Pannke, MD

IMO, this MD is not fit to practice medicine. When a patient has to explain simple medical terminology to a staff ER physician, something is drastically amiss. Reason for presentation was severe pain in a specified area. MD asked if pain meds were required at that time. I, as the patient, refused this initial offer to first pursue its source. My request for drinking water was denied as it could interfere with any possible testing; I understood the situation. RN next enters with a tray of preparatory solutions for diagnostic testing of an area TOTALLY non-related to the site of severe pain. He seemed confused when I questioned the validity and reasoning behind the orders for this study. Per protocol, RN followed directions written on chart. Dr. Pannke never returned to explain his prediagnostic considerations, and no clarification or discussion was offered regarding any testing or procedures. When my pain level reached 10+, I requested, and was denied, medication per Dr. Pannke's notes… as explained by RN. I informed RN I was leaving the facility. The area of extreme discomfort was ignored, and I was rendered no diagnosis nor treatment. If Dr. Pannke's unprofessional and medically-incompetent manner are reflective of supposed quality care, then, indeed, our health care standard has hit an all time low.
