Dr. Thomas Brinkley Parrott, MD

Went in for physical. Was told by Dr Parrott that the blood test wasn't needed because I'd had one within the last 5 years?!? Thus I left without the blood test being performed. I didn't feel good about not getting the blood test so I scheduled another appt to take blood. Three weeks later I was contacted by Dr Parrott and told that my Bilirubin levels were "very elevated." I asked about my other results such as cholesterol, etc and was told that everything else looked good. A month later I found myself driving by the doctors office and decided to stop by to get a printout of my results as I was curious about my bilirubin level. I was surprised to find that my bilirubin level was elevated, but in the norm, so I looked at the results in more detail and found that all of my cholesterol levels were off the charts. In fact, there were 4 flags on the results. His assessment was so off that I wonder if he was even looking at the right chart. He has always been quick with me as I'm 33 and… probably appear healthy on the outside. Our family will not be returning to Rockbridge Family Medicine. I would not recommend Dr Parrot to anyone, ever, forever.
