30 years having tom as my family doctor. he's the best!

He has a terrible ego! And because of it, he just about let me die! Had I not found another doc, I would not be alive today!! Too bad I can't give negative stars! And he needs to get rid of that awful nurse! Other office staff are terrible too!

I've been a patient of Dr. Petry's for about 10 years, but it's time to move on. I think Dr. Petry is pretty good and I like him personally, but I cannot put up with his nurse, Barb, any longer. I saw the previous reviewer's comments about her and I have to agree. She acts like I'm asking for the world when I request a call back or ask her to look up something in my chart, she's rude, and she obviously couldn't care less if she inconveniences Dr. Petry's patients. She has repeatedly ignored requests from my Pharmacy for prescription call-in's, causing me to run out of medication when I actually placed the order in plenty of time. I didn't realize the prescription wouldn't be ready until the pharmacy told me (when I tried to pick it up) that my Dr's office (Barb) didn't return their calls. This has happened on several occassions. Enough already. As much as I hate shopping for a new Dr, Barb has caused me enough aggravation and it's time to move on.As for Dr. Petry, my only… criticisms (besides keeping a nurse that treats patients poorly) are that he needs to spend a bit more time/patient/visit and also that I'd prefer him to be a bit more thorough working towards diagnoses. I have an issue that can be addressed with medication, but I wanted to find the underlying cause of the condition rather than just treating symptoms. I had to drive this process myself.

I picked him randomly when I had to select my primary care doctor when I got insurance with a new job. I picked great. Dr. Petry is a good guy and a great physician. Very caring; he listens to all of your issues and asks questions. I do not feel at all rushed when I am there. I saw another commenter on his nurse, but I'm not sure why they said that. Barb has been great with me at all my appointments. The front desk staff and checkout folks are nice too. There is usually waiting for a visit and labs, but at what practice do you not wait? I always factor in about 15-20 minutes between payment/paperwork/checking in and seeing the doctor. This is just fine in my book. Pick Dr. Petry and in my opinion you'll be glad you did.

Dr. Petry is a decent docter with a solid beside manner. He has a nurse that has been with him 20 years that has the worst personality in history for healthcare. I will never step foot in that group of physicans office again.

dr.petry has been our family doc for 15 years he has always been very informative, and caring, we are all comfortable to discuss any health need or questions with him , that says alot.i just wish that he would have his own office it is a rat race in that office if we dint like him so well we would move on..so we deal with the aggrivation up front in order to see our doctor but this is his compliment not theres
