Dr. Thomas Brian Powell, MD

Been seeing Dr. Powell off and on for about 10 years, first with mother-in-law and now with mother. He is a stickler for details which means he tries to make sure nothing gets by him. His bedside manner is just as excellent as his knowledge, whether one patient has a PhD. and the other retired from the cotton mill. It makes no difference as to how he treats the patient and interacts with them. After reviewing my mom's bloodwork, he had his nurse call with around 6 or 7 questions. Fortunately, with all of her other specialists who don't happen to be in the network where he can research answers, I was able to provide answers but his questions revealed to me that he didn't just glance at my mom's blood work. He actually studied it......just a snapshot of how he works. There are other experiences all that make him a superlative nephrologist. Sometimes you might have to wait a little once called to your room but the excellent doctors are worth waiting on. That means the patients aren't… being run the practice through a revolving door!
