Horrible- Told my sister my medical info test results for a pap smear on the phone! He knew it was her and told her all about it and how concerning my results were- NO ONE gave him permission to disclose my medical history AT ALL. TO ANYONE. EVER.

I had a total hysterectomy and he also removed a fibroid and many adhesions from a prior c-section...After years of being in chronic pain, and then having two to three heavy periods, I finally found a doctor who heard me, and was able to get me accurately diagnosed and scheduled surgery quickly. I am almost two weeks post surgical, and I haven't felt this great in ten years. My pain is entirely gone, and I feel like me again. His office is clean and well run, everyone was friendly and professional. Dr. Powers is a skilled surgeon, and has given me back my normal life, pain free.

Amazing doctor. Took time to talk with me and address my concerns about my health. I highly recommend him, and so does my primary doctor. Her patients are very happy with him also.

Simple surgery to remove ovary resulted in him unnecessarily cutting the bladder AND colon. He was never apologetic about it. Was actually short, rude, & impatient many times. Nurses (and others in the field) who knew of him didn't have positive things to say about him either when they heard the botched surgery. Needs to retire.

I have been going to Dr Powers for at least 15 years. I am VERY pleased with him. I am always shown into the exam room within 5-12 minutes. (In fact, he has so many magazines in the waiting room, that oftentimes, before I can decide which one I want to look at, I am being escorted into the exam room.) His staff is friendly and professional. Dr Powers is very professional in his treatment of me, He uses terminology that is easy to understand. He is friendly and gentle in his manner. He is a kind and courteous man that IS concerned for you. He has NEVER made me feel rushed. He listens thoroughly to my concerns and offers suggestions of various treatment plans in the times when I have had a few problems. When it became necessary for me to have a hysterectomy (2005), I was very interested in a new kind of procedure that I had read about whereby they use lasers, and thus, the recovery time is markedly quicker and easier because there are no large incisions. Although… the procedure was relatively new, he successfully, WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER, performed it on me. I recall it took 6 hours to perform (I was knocked out), but besides my lack of energy afterwards, my recovery went so smoothly. As one reviewer wrote, HE also always calls me back the same day I may call. I have referred him to two of my girlfriends and they are VERY pleased with him as well. I am glad that he is my doctor.

Tried as I might, I couldn't get this guy to crack a smile. He must hate his job.And seriously, tell a gal when you are going to give her a rectal. Not only was it shocking, but he was rough. Very painful.

Not only is the waiting room emaculate, the staff are congenial and friendly as well as efficient. He is a very busy doctor and when I call his office with a question HE calls me back! He is the only doctor to alleviate my menopause problems, and , I've been to quite a few doctors and physician assistant's and none of them could solve the problems I was having. I don't have to be a friend to my doctor, I expect him to alleviate my problems and he is good at that most definitely. He also recommends excellent doctor's if you have a complaint not in his area of expertise. So yes, I appreciate Dr. Powers and would recommend any of my friends to him.

Rough, inconsiderate - doesn't seem to have a clue as to the pain he causes. Very unpleasant experience. Will never go back.

i had told him that i have a history of cysts and that i had found a lump on my ovary. his comments made me feel very inferior, i felt that he did not take care of the problem, he was not gentle. actually he seemed to be in a hurry and moved very fast which was uncomfortable. he also gave a rectum exam without any warning. i would not reccommend him to any one.
