Tom Puchner has helped me through many tough situations that have not been cleared up in the past by others, and continues to care for me regarding special circumstances involving my health

The education was so very helpful in deciding my next steps. Dr. Puchner spent the right amount of time with me to help me understand my symptoms the exact allergies I have and the causes and more importantly the solutions available both with medication and the things I could do at home. He also advised me of the myths which were helpful as well. I would highly recommend this Dr. Thomas Puchner Jr. to anyone.

I have had several issues that for years went undiagnosed. Dr. Puchner has been able to alleviate so many issues. He listens. Honestly, that is all I need to say is that he listens. Not only that he has the background and knowledge to help create solutions that work. Could not be more pleased and have recommended him to anyone who asks.

Also takes the time to make sure the patient understands their condition and how to properly use the medications.

Dr. Puchner and his staff continue to amaze me and they have been my asthma/latex allergy team for awhile. First of all they listen and they build relationships with their patients. There can be lots of fear when you cannot breathe and you find yourself in a dangerous spot. Dr. Puchner continues to teach me, as do his staff, what I am empowered to do in those cases and in my daily life to cut those "opportunities" and yet if they come as they do, what I can do to relax, be more aware and do what is needed at the time instead of panic and fear. Makes a huge difference. It is like have a doctor and coach at the same time. Dr. Puchner listens and that is the biggest difference. So do his nurses. Out of those conversations that can hear where I may be able to make a life adjustment or suggest something. He found my taking a baby aspirin was triggering more latex allergies landing me in the ER 5 times one weekend. Thankfully that is not happening anymore.This care translates to… other areas of my medical routine now. How do I ask, tell, and take care of what I need so they are able to better help and sustain my medical needs. I want to me healthy and live my life. Be a person that lives with the occasional "hickup" of asthma, not become it.

I took my teenage daughter to Dr. Puchner when she was having breathing problems related to athletics. Another prominent Madison doctor who saw her at urgent care suggested she had vocal dysfunction disorder or asked a bunch of personal questions that were off base. We found Dr. Puchner to be dedicated to finding a solution, and willing to listen. He worked with my daughter's combo of allergy and asthma symtpons so she could play soccer without difficulty. He was great for our family. This "solution" did not occur over night, but he hung in there with us working to get her on meds that made sense and worked. And yes, we had insurance. But all meds and doctors are expensive.
