Dr. Thomas Robert Puetz, MD

I believe that being sincere and honest are key elements which help in building a trustful patient physician relationship.

I attended the University of Wisconsin Medical School in Madison. While in medical school, I volunteered to teach high school students about eating disorders in a program known as Doctors Ought to Care. After graduating from medical school in 1990, I completed my internship at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center in Milwaukee. While completing my internship, I received the Outstanding Intern Award for dedicated work ethic. My residency in Internal Medicine was completed at Sinai Samaritan Medical Center, where I was the recipient of the Warren Conen Award for compassionate care of patients. With an ongoing desire to teach, I served a year as Chief Resident. After receiving board certification in Internal Medicine, I entered the Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Milwaukee Clinical Campus of the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Here I completed my …gastroenterology training with a special interest in Helicobacter pylori research. I served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine for the University of Wisconsin Medical School, actively involved in teaching gastroenterology fellows.

Away from the clinic, I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife and children. Outside interests include travel, scuba diving, roller blading and mountain biking.
