Dr. Thomas Joseph Raimondo, DO

Dr Raimondo is a great Dr, I have not had to wait long anymore to see him.

Never saw him personally perform a critical prodedure ever over 10+ years. Seemed to rely soley on Harvard Medical School yearly meetings and journal articles for his medical education.

At Kent Hospital in Critical Care, he ordered CT scan on unstable patient; patient later died on return to Critical Care Unit. More interested in financial return than in providing Hospital care for critical care patients. Biggest claim-His sister is governor of RI. Loves Harvard Medical School; has no knowledge of equally good centers, especially those outside of Northeast. Possibly has financial incentives for Partners Healthcare(Harvard based) to take over RI Health.

Dr Rainondo takes time to explain the next step in the plan of your care and what might need to be done for the Pt. In future treatment

Nice man but, waited for FOUR hours to see him. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I Love Dr Raimondo, however I have had to wait a long time in the waiting room to be seen. He does spend QUALITY time with the patient and that is a huge plus. A phone call saying all the appointments are moved back an hour or more would be wonderful. 12 years going to him and I wouldn't go anywhere else no matter how long I had to wait.

Patients who need a pulmonary dr are generally fragile and need a dr and office staff who recognize that. This is not just a matter of being respectful and polite, but ignoring calls for help from the patient, plus pharmacies, other providers, etc, is potentially life-threatening. FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR.

I have been seeing Dr. Raimondo for eighteen years, he is the most caring doctor I have ever met. He is very thorough and will spend endless time listening to your concerns and answering questions. I have had to call on ocassion for a sick call and have been the last patient of the day or should I say evening closing shop with him at 9 or 10 p.m. The services he provides his patients is unheard of in the medical profession. Thank you Doc.

Like the other comments here, Dr. Raimondo is a wonderful person and doctor. Takes his time with you and does answer all your questions. He is most helpful when it comes to special medications that need to be ordered and helps find the proper financal assistance. Trying to get in touch with him when you don't have an appointment and have a question or an emergency is impossible! His office staff is exactly what other comments have expressed...uncaring, inadequate, insufficient, incompetent, etc. I do not understand why they overbook him and think it is OK to come in 2 to 3 hours after schedule appointment and possibly sitting there for another hour or more. It is hard for me to wait since I am on oxygen and I am always afraid my tank will run out. I said this to his receptionist and she asked me why I couldn't just turn the oxygen off since I was just sitting there doing nothing?? Seriously?? Dr. Raimondo is great but his office staff needs to be replaced.

I have been a patient of Dr. Raimondo's for a long time. He is a very good doctor when it comes to diagnosis and treatment. However, his office practice is less than adequate. His office staff are terrible and uncaring. It is nearly impossible to get an appointment in a timely manner. The receptionist told me that I had an appointment scheduled for 5:30 and said to come in for 7:30. When I called at 7:00 they told me there were 10 patients ahead of me still and that I should come the following day. There have been occasions when I have spent almost 3 hours in his waiting room. No exaggeration! There was one night when I did not get home until 11:30. A call back would have been sufficient for my last problem that i needed to speak with the doctor about, but he demands that I come in. However, I do not have all the time in the world to sit at his office all night. Maybe next time I should bring a tent and camp out. He is wonderful whe you get to finally see him, but you… may die waiting. He really needs to work with his staff on time management.
