This is a personal message directly to Dr. Reed Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good care of our sweet baby girl. We know she can be very difficult and we appreciate your patience with her and trying to lead her on the right path to healing. Can you say malpractice?? Sure you can. But you can’t sue him for it because he hides in a teaching hospital that is protected by Rick Scott’s immunity clause. Beware!

Rude, insensitive. Never would I recommend him to anyone. I felt bullied, insulted, and humiliated while he examined me.

Dr Tan is downright infamous in this community for being indifferent, rude, abrupt, and a poor listener. If Dr Read didn't know that, he does now, and he needs to fix this!

Dr. Read is a knowledgeable, kind, caring physician. He operated me 7 years ago for diverticulitis with organized serositis. I've been healthy, had absolutely no problems. I owe my life to Dr. Read. Thank you Dr. Read.

Dr. Read operated on me for rectal cancer at Lahey Clinic. I had a colostomy bag for a year after. He is a kind, caring doctor with a great sense of humor. He did not do my reversal surgery, he was moving to Florida. He made sure he left me in very good hands for my reversal surgery. I feel he saved my life and was very sad to see him go. Huge loss for Massachusetts big gain for Florida:

He performed rectal surgery on me at Lahey Clinic Jan. 2016 & reversed my ileosomy 4 months later. So pleased with his expertise, and happy to say three years later that everything works & I continue to get cancer free reports.

Simply put, he saved my husband’s life. He had great bedside manner but was straight forward and honest with us. I truly felt that he cared.

Dr. Read saved my life. I was so lucky to get him for emergency surgery before he left Lahey for Florida. I miss him!!! He visited post-op and he's so wonderful. Great sense of humor! I congratulated him on his new gig in FLA, but honestly wish he were still here. Love him!

Dr Read is kind, caring, and has a wonderful sense of humor. I have a tattoo going around my naval and downward, I told him to make sure when I was stitched back up after preforming the ileostomy he lined up the tattoo the best he could, lol. I had complications from Crohn’s disease. My incision went from breastbone, around my naval, down to my pubicbone, directly in the center of that tattoo. Not only did he preform a very long complicated surgery that saved my life, literally, ...he stitched up that incision with such precision you would never guess it goes directly thru that tattoo. That was 3 years ago and whenever I see him he still jokes about it. Above all that, he held my hand when I cried, always spoke in a kind and concerned manner, returned my phone calls and listened...something you hardly see drs do today. His staff are all top notch also. I would recommend Dr Thomas Read and Lahey Hospital to anyone. You won’t find better.
