He is currently serving on the Delaware County Fair Board. Dr. Rector has participated in missionary work in Taraz, Kazakhstan since 2004.

Dr. Rector is married to the former Becky Cook of New Haven, Indiana for 33 years. He has three children; Tommy (wife Nicole) , Andy (wife Lisa) and Ali. Two grandchildren, Jason and Jaxon. Hobbies include tennis, snow skiing, boating, bicycling and community service.
