Dr. Thomas Brett Reece, MD

Dr Reece performed an aortic arch replacement on me in 2024. His staff were great and I am alive (very thankful) so I have no doubt that his work on my aortic arch was perfect but just wanted to add that I have had vocal chord problems since that surgery and he told me once that it was him that permanently damaged my vocal chords. I have had 2 injections that don’t fix and don’t last long. I went to another ear nose and throat surgeon he said my vocal cords will not get better with surgery. One might think that I should just be grateful and shut up but I have played guitar and sang all my adult life and I can’t sing anymore. Dr. Reece knows about this but he may not know how this has negatively affected my life. Again grateful to be alive but I see nothing negative on these reviews and wish Dr.Reece had tried more to be involved with looking at my vocal chords or offer more explanation of how it happened or say sorry at least. If he sees this Hello Dr Reece. Thank you for everything.… Sorry I feel this should be mentioned in reviews so that you can be more careful about future intubation procedures. My wife and I have travelled to Scotland and Ireland since then. Could not have done that if not alive so again thank you!
