Dr. Thomas Robert Sangiacomo, MD

I was sent home with toothache and other dentist just took an x-ray and said we could't pull your tooth out for some reason. However I was referred to Dr Sangiacomo. He was kind enough to pull my infected out for me which he did very good. Thank god I finally found a great Dr who took care of my toothache and made it go away for good. Thank you very much Dr Sangiacomo. Words just cant describe how thankful I am.

My daughter had her wisdom teeth extracted by Dr SanGiacomo. Everyone at the office was very friendly and helpful. Dr SanGiacomo was great with my daughter even though she was really nervous he was able to joke with her and make her feel comfortable. I appreciated that he took the time to make sure she was relaxed before starting her IV which was the most stressful part for her. Post op instructions were very thorough and all my questions were answered before we left the office.

Not caring, I was nervous about getting my tooth pulled. I was told why worry. Lots of people get there teeth pulled.

Very unprofessional. Was discussing insurance billing and complaining he wanted to go home so you could hear it throughout the office. It was beneath him to discuss my case or answer questions, explained nothing. Received shots did not see him again for almost an hour. Upon shoving I don't know what in my mouth, I flinched and was nervous, almost crying and he said to me "are you going to do this? I don't have time for this.".

I was referred to Dr. SanGiacomo, the only oral surgeon in town, for an extraction, by my NEW DENTIST . SanGiacomo did not want to do the extraction. He directed me to an endodontist for a root canal, over my objections. I kept telling SanGiacomo that I was terrified of the root canal, because MY OLD DENTIST could never numb the tooth for fillings. SanGiacomo billed me for his consultation, and apparently his staff contacted my old dentist, even though I had been referred by my new dentist! I then got a nasty letter from the old dentist, claiming I was "disloyal". This understandably upset me so I complained to both the old dentist, and SanGiacomo's office manager. In my opinion, SanGiacomo's office had no good reason to contact the old dentist. The endodontist charged me almost $100 to tell me the root canal would likely fail in a month or two. So I re-contacted SanGiacomo to get him to pull the tooth. I was told I was no longer welcome in his office. I apologized… for my complaint, but she refused to accept the apology. I got a general dentist to pull the tooth, and now have non functioning salivary glands due to suspected nerve damage. I think when you are the only oral surgeon in town, you have some responsibility. Dr. SanGiacomo apparently has a very thin skin.

The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The Doctor was very informative about the procedure and made me feel very comfortable.
