This man is arrogant, rude, and evil tempered. I had the misfortune to answer a phone call from him - the call was not even for me. He over talked when I would try to respond and was very unprofessional. I would never consider having him look after my medical needs.

Excellent diagnostician who takes time to explain in detail conditions, treatments. Have referred several patients to him.

I have been going to his office for 20 years now & have nothing negative to say about Dr. Schaefer or his staff! I will continue going there indefinitely.

Sounds to me like everyone writing reviews, here who is complaining is mad that he is actually telling you the straight up truth that you dont want to hear. If you want pills and to tell your DR what YOU want, then he is not for you. That is why i go to him because he tells it how it is. Some People can't handle that.

I made a appointment to see Dr Thomas and his nurse came in very non professional she was loud outside of the room while reading my chart she also had smart comments concerning my lifestyle choices it seemed like she was judging me and looking down at me as if she was better i will never go back and never refer anyone to that office but the front and back office staff is very nice as for Dr Thomas well i never seen him

As others have stated, this guy is very rude and belittles his patients. I was a patient for about 15 year (yes I am not very smart), but finally figured out this guy has no idea what he is doing. Lots of uneccesary tests and mis-diagnoses. I switched doctors and all I can say is "wow" what a difference. Switching doctors is not the easiest thing, but your life may depend on it with this guy. Also, be aware of the co-payment/billing scam they use. They try to double dip on the payment by sending you a bill in the mail for some additional amount they said the insurance company wouldn't pay (even after you paid your co-pay). After receiving your payment (if you fall for it), they will also bill the insurance company for the amount and collect again. If you call them and ask about the payment, they will say "Oh the ins co actually just paid that, you don't have to worry about it". Stay far away from this quack!!!

You will REGRET ever entering his office.His EGO will not leave much room for you in the exam room and do not think he will hear a word you say. Do yourself or loved one and find a new physician!

Use extreme caution with this guy. I have been mis-diagnosed once by him, luckily for nothing life threatening. He tries to rush you out of the office and I feel he doesn't even listen to you during the exam. I am an adult and he talks to me like a kid. Have been lectured by him for not going to his "buddies" for certian procedures that were not necessary to resolve a couple problems I have had. I definately think he is getting kickbacks. Have been told to have blood work done many, many times to find out the same result...they were not needed. Bloodwork is quick and easy money. 50% of all doctors graduate in the bottom half of their class and I believe he must have been one of them. I threw in the towel with this quack.

This doctor is more concerned about a patients personal lifesyle than with the medical problems that the appointment was for. I felt like he spent a majority of the time lecturing me about my personal life than he did discussing my medical issues. I will not be returning to this doctor for any reason. He made me feel like a child and did nothing to help with the problem I have been having for over 10 months. He has no bedside manner as he talked over top of me and did not listen to one word that I had to say.
