Very professional. Really to discuss any possible treatment routes and plans with patient and family. Follow up timely.

Be very cautious. Ask for all risks and consequences of the surgery in advance. Take notes after your visit. Have a third person present if possible. Ask who will be conducting your surgery alongside him and make sure this information is accurate.

My wife had a hernia repair surgery with Dr. Schenelldorfer. Right from the diagnosis through the post-op follow- ups, we were highly impressed with him. His attention to details and his way of explaining was very helpful for us in making our decisions. He is a keen listener and the best part was his way of setting up the expectations and letting us know what to expect. The surgery was smooth and even the recovery was quite smooth. There were no surprises at all which made it less daunting for us. He explained the procedure and the findings very clearly and we felt very comfortable from the beginning. The appointments and the follow-ups were very easy to set up.

Dr. Schnelldorfer operated on my husband for pancreatic cancer. He was the kindest and most professional doctor we have ever met. Very patient with all our questions and returned every phone call we made to him. I really cannot say enough about Dr. Schnelldorfer and feel fortunate that he was the doctor who took care of my husband.

Although I have a simple surgical issue compared to what Dr. Schnelldorfer sees most days, I was afforded the same attention to detail, thoughtful questions/answer opportunities that others have mentioned. He met with me before and after surgery (even though he had a full caseload) and again was very available. I am a few days post-surgery and have had little pain and taken almost no painkillers at all. VERY happy with my choice! Highly Recommend.

Dr. Schnelldorfer performed a gastric bypass and also a hiatel hernia repair on me at the same time two years ago. My pain after surgery was very minimal. I mainly just had minor discomfort and that was it. He did an excellent job and I am very pleased with the results! I highly recommend him for your surgical needs. Wonderful doctor!!

Dr. Schnelldorfer is the ultimate knowledgeable humanitarian and professional. he pulled me out of a long nasty pancreatitis when all other attempts were failing. I had been through 3 hospitals and many return emergencies after a failed procedure at another hospital that put me into Pancreatitis. I was distraught and very sick, my wife thought I was not going to make it. I was existing not living. Dr. Schnelldorfer came into the scene after a call from my daughter relating my plight. He took over on my care and inserted a J-Tube and following his instructions and directions I was on a better path to recovery. His assessment and insight to my agonizing plight was spot on. I am very grateful to him and I am lucky to have his services. Dr. Schnelldorfer is deserving of EXCELLENT and a 5 for 5 for this review but a 10 for 10 in my mind. Lahey Clinic is very fortunate to have him on staff.

Listens very well and is very knowledgable. Great interpersonal skills and an excellent surgeon.
