Ordered incorrect tests for me, causing me to do another set of tests and costing me another few hundred dollars. All the while, I have immense stomach pain that he can't help with until the tests are done. You would thing that would make him get the orders right but no, he must not care too much about his patients.

I could have not asked for a better experience. They see you before and after a procedure so lots of opportunity to ask questions. Offered appointments were prompt and care was personalized. Procedural sedation was with propofol. Endoscopy equipment was state of the art using FUSE scopes. A Von Maur experience at JcPenny prices. I will be sending all my friends and relatives who are in need of a gastroenterologist to Dr. Schussler.

Amazing. The comments I read here do not fit the description of this physician. Just goes to show, more unhappy people write reviews. I am very happy with Dr. Schussler. He listened, offered advise, and involved me in the workup and care plan.

Dr Schussler has a very poor personality. He would not allow me to finish speaking when asked a question. He was arrogant, dismissive and basically said my esophogus issue that was verified via barium swallow test was "not a big deal". He then tried to prescribe a medication for a serious gasto issue that he did no test for and was basing his opinion on what he "thought" rather than actually veryify that I did indeed have a issue. The medicine he prescribed could cause irreversible face paralysis and he was just prescribing it without any concrete proof I actually needed it. It's actually unbelieveable to me that he has a patient base at all. I will never give him my business again. If you want to feel rushed, talked over, belittled and made to feel like your an idiot he's your guy.

Saw this doctor and he did nothing but explain what I knew already then mocked a condition I suffered from I was so angry when I left. I was in shock when I left. Poor personality

I had severe pancreatitis caused by a gallstone. This was the worst pain I ever experienced. The gastroenterologist seeing me did not perform the needed ERCP procedure to remove the stones. He came in on the weekend and took care of me and got me feeling much better.
