Dr. Thomas John Shen, MD

I had a really bad allergic reaction that required me to go to the ER and my doctor required me to go to an allergist and receive allergy tests to figure out what caused it. When I went, Dr. Shen dismissed my concerns and refused to test me unless I have another rash. He didn’t even see me for ten minutes before sending me home. Now I have to go to a new allergist to get tested, I completely wasted my time. He dismissed all of my concerns and did not listen to anything I had to say. I had to pay $40 for this man to see me for less than ten minutes and say I’m fine after after a severe allergic reaction. DO NOT GO HERE

He and the middle aged lady were very rude, the older lady was quite pleasant. Initially I thought well he is not nice but maybe he will know what he is talking about and for some he did but for some he did not. I actually did see him smile once, he has a nice smile, but he is not good for us.

Dr. Shen is the rudest physician I have ever been to. He talks to me as if I am an idiot. ALthough I brought all of my medical records when I moved here showing everything I am allergic to he said he didn't know what I was talking about. Make the trip to Orlando for an allergist. It's worth the gas!!

Awesome Doctor. I have had skin allergies all my life. He cured them. Almost a miracle. Can't say enough about Dr Tom.

The doctor was very rude and condescending. He seemed to be annoyed to be talking to me. Not worth the $50 copay to be treated so horribly.

Bed side manners bad! Did not appear to listen to patients concerns. Will not go back, am looking for another one.

My overall feeling of Dr. Shen was very impersonal I was not truly listened to. Maybe Dr. Shen was having a bad day; however, as a new patient, I was not impressed! I believe that the diagnosis and treatment plan was rushed and my personal concerns were disregarded. I would not go back and would be willing to drive much farther to see another specialist.
