Dr. Thomas S Shute, MD

Dr. Shute is excellent. He makes you feel comfortable and he explains everything to you. I highly recommend him for your eye care needs. Sometimes you have a long wait time, but you have that at most doctors appointments. He does his best and he always apologizes for a long wait. What more can you ask for.

I appreciated and welcomed the way dr. Shute introduced himself to me. I, as a patient was apprehensive about another surgery or another stent installed. I still am. He was patient with me regarding my apprehension. I've had three stents installed already. To everyone's surprise, with eye drops prescribed by the Dr, my pressure went down to 17 on my left eye-the eye with high eye pressure.

We are so very thankful for the expertise of Dr Shute. He not only is quite knowledgeable but very personable as well. It’s a rare combination in today’s medical field.

I have been seeing specialists for glaucoma for many years. Having to fight with insurance companies to get referrals every year. Finally gave in. Have only been to Dr Shute twice. Both times have been wonderful experiences. Very thorough. Would definitely recommend Dr Shute and EyeQ Vision Care.

The wait time was about what expected in a busy office. The Dr was very likable.

Dr Shute is always very pleasant and always has a smile. I can tell he is always extremely busy but he takes his time and explains everything in detail.

My appointment was scheduled for 8am. I did not get seen until 10:30am. Dr. Shute is very professional and answers all your questions. Dr. Shute said to schedule appointment for first thing in the morning and you won't have to wait. It really irritates me when the Doctor's office does not think your time is important.

I’m very impressed with his kind nature and professionalism. I can hear him talking to patients in the other room, and he always has a pleasant tone with everyone, regardless of time of day. I have recommended him to everyone I know that may need an ophthalmologist.

Overall, a smooth operation from time of checking in to walking out. I was very anxious about cataract surgery, but the amount of sedation was just right. It made for calm procedures both times, and allowed me to walk out afterwards. Dr. Shute is highly competent. Anyone nervous about cataract surgery, please don't be. Relieved and happy patient.
