He is very personable once you get in to the office. I understand he is busy...because he is GOOD. I’ve heard complaints but interesting that these folks were looking for handouts for workman’s comp issues. If your looking for great care and an honest physician with great people skills with not only the patient but with family members then Dr. Disk is s great choice. Several coworkers and family members have been treated by this doctor and all have had great outcomes.

Took my disabled brother to this doctor after he was seen at the ER, and we were told to see a specialist. Spent 3 hours at the appointment, with maybe 30 minutes of time with the doctor. He never explained anything about what he thought might be going on in regard to my brothers back. He spent more time telling us what it couldn't be, while socializing with coworkers, and seeing other patients while we waited for answers or some type of guidance. This was the most unprofessional doctor we have ever had the displeasure of seeing. He NEVER discussed a treatment plan of any kind. He NEVER discussed a pain management plan. He NEVER went over the xray and MRI results with us. He NEVER even told us when the appointment was over. He sent an office worker in to get us to check out. I asked her "Are we done with the Dr.", to which she responded "Yes, unless you need him". I said "Of course we need him as there is no pain management plan in place". The doctor proceeded in an open area,… where other patients were in ears range, for my brother to use Tylenol. His advice was Tylenol for a man who had fractured vertebrae. Disgusted with the treatment we were given after hours of being there, I called our family doctor who promptly called the doctor with his own concerns that my brother needed a plan for pain management. This doctor NEVER even called the family doctor back. This man has no business working with patients, or the family of a patient. It was very clear we were a nuisance to him. Please save yourself a lot of aggravation and time, and see one of the other wonderful UPMC orthopedic doctors who really care about the patient, and the family who looks after their disabled loved one.

I have been a patient for over 1 year, with recurring foot problems from distance running. Dr. Sisk listens very well to my description, and gives a very clear explanation of the diagnosis. He seems genuinely concerned as to whether you understand what is wrong and how to fix it. I've had doctors who don't even mention the actual diagnosis, so I really value that.

They put me in the room and said the doctor will be with you in few minutes! I waited 45 minutes then decided to leave, as i was walking out i saw the doctor and told him that I have been in the room for 45 minutes, did you know that? he said "OK, I can see you know if you want" I responded "No, not any more" he did not even apologize! you are a doctor, you should hold the highest standers! Thank you.
