Dr. Sokol checked in with me the night before the procedure which is the first time i have had a doctor do this. his office was on top of things and the procedure went as smooth as could be

Check your wallet. When I called to make the appt., I was asked which insurance I had but I don't know why, they only accept Medicare but didn't inform me. When a whopping $500 invoice showed up, I asked why and got no answer. They gave me a "courtesy" $125 discount, but still screwed me over the bill. As for the doctor, he didn't examine, give me his finding, and his recommendation, he did everything in such a quick manner, he explained "what he was doing" as he was doing it, and gave me no choice in the matter. I found this to be unethical to say the least, and in the end I still have the condition I saw him for. Do yourself a favor and find someone better.

Just had a colonoscopy with Dr. Sokol. His sense of humor put me at ease and made me laugh.

I would put negative stars if it the site provided it. There is no doubt Dr. Sokol is a skilled doctor. He was recommended by a physician and has a stellar reputation. I had complications following surgery and many months after surgery, the problems persisted and were never resolved. Due to my physical problems, a friends dad who is a gastroenterologist in another city recommended I get a second opinion. I went to a different Doctor who upon viewing my X-rays booked me for surgery to rectify the problems. Get a second opinion. If available, take someone with you, it's good to have a second pair of ears. Take notes & ask questions. If your doctor becomes short or irritated when you ask questions, see another doctor. Take good care of you!

I have been his patient for many years. Recent office and surgical appointments affirmed again that he is by far the very most skilled, kind, caring doctor anyone could possible wish for!!!!

Dr. Sokol is a breath of fresh air. He makes you laugh without making light of the situation at hand. He listens and is genuinely concerned with how you are progressing and healing. He is incredibly skilled at what he does. I can only speak for my case: he reengineered my system and I am finally functioning like a healthy person should. Going through surgery and having a total colectomy was nothing compared to the pain endured getting to that point. I think Dr. Sokol gets that and tries to make things as pleasurable as possible (which must be extremely difficult!).

If you are looking for an extremely qualified and competent surgeon, Dr. Sokol is the surgeon you want. He has changed my life for the better and I feel so appreciative and blessed to have had him perform not only a colon resection but two other minor procedures. I selected Dr. Sokol after extensive research and several consultations with other surgeons/colon rectal surgeons. He was my first choice and a choice I will never regret.
