Dr. Thomas Spiro, MD

Awful....should have left medicine a long time ago. Didn't seem there or engaged with me as a patient...impatient, rude, barely gave a physical exam....5 minutes....hate to think what my insurance paid him. Completely missed my husbands diagnosis because he didn't order any tests to verify. Don't go there

Went for years each year like less and less to busy no time. Says needs 30 mins for physical it took 5min. Was going to give info on stop smoking forgot wanted another appt and copay. All about him not you. Good if sick and need treatment but not for health concerns.

Dr. Spiro doesn't appear very knowledgeable about various conditions. He is quick to refer you on to someone else, but doesn't offer any immediate remedies for anything. Prescribes medication, but is not up on the most recent medical findings. If you have a fever or have something that could be contagious, he acts as though you are putting him out and how dare you infect my office staff.

Wasn't impressed after the first visit, thought for no more than I need it will be ok.... I should have switched then as 1 year later it is even more aggravating than ever... His office staff is rude and deals me a fit just trying to get daily medications filled not even things like pain medications.. I had a few issues that needed attention and was absolutely blown off by Dr. Spiro.. Issues that could have really been a big deal...He wouldn't even order a simple mammagram without a fight...it has been so bad I am looking forward to getting a new physician...

I have been seeing Dr. Spiro for over 5 years, he doesn't listen to what is wrong with you, he over talks you. He doesn't run the necessary exams before prescribing medication. I saw him recently for a rotator cuff injury and instead of doing the MRI exam he prescribe physical therapy without confirming my condition. I am looking for a new doctor first thing Monday morning.

I have been see Dr. Thomas Spiro for over 13 years. He is the most caring and honest person.

Made an appointment because I needed an internist and was hoping to make him my Primary care doc. He never took a medical history for myself, let alone a family history. His actual examination of me was brief, not even close to thorough- not that he would have any idea what to look for given he has no idea what my medical history is. (I've never been to this health care system before so they don't have my medical history on file-I checked).

Getting seen at Dr. Spiro's office is the quickest and most efficient that I have ever encountered. You can almost leave your car running. If you are on time-they are on time the wait after signing in is almost immediate. Dr. Spiro spends enough time to address your issues, concerns, etc. but no a lot more. You never have to wait and the staff is efficient and straight to the point.

The last time i was sick, i called the office 3 times to make an appointment and left a message all three times describing the increased urgency. They never called me back. I then went to the Urgent Care Center by my house and they couldn't believe that I hadn't seen a doctor yet. They said that my throat was almost swollen shut. Per the Urgent Care Physician's recommendation, I went to Dr. Spiro for a follow up appointment and he made me feel like it was my fault that I couldn't get an appointment. Throughout my experiences with Dr. Spiro, I feel like he does not listen to me and does not solve the health issue that I have.

If you just want a prescription, he's fine. He certainly doesn't spend any more time with you than he has to. Not particularly friendly but can't say he is rude. You have enough time to state one maybe two symptoms and he is writing you a scrip or running out the door.
