Mother broke her neck in mid Feb Dr. put her in a neck brace and sent her to a rehab facility. After discharge he refused her follow up appointment because she has COPD and was coughing. She tested for COVID and was neg. Dr still post- poned her appointment til apr. 9th. Told her healing was slow and to continue wearing the collar. Went for a second opinion and is now having emergency surgery. The neck fracture so sever that it is life threatening. DO NOT trust this DR.

He does NOT give follow up care unless you have excellent insurance, he is cold, uncaring and incompetent, I hope one day he needs surgery and is treated the way he treats patients.

link time was paramount. staff comfortable enough to share he was golfing a lot during office hours while I was in agony and would have an an appointment otherwise. Your emergency is not their emergency. Response to request for calls back can be up to lags of 2 weeks.

I had the misfortune of being thrown from the horse I was riding, resulting with a compressed fractured L1. Dr Stengel was on duty at the hospital. I am very happy with him as he explained everything that was going on with my problem so I understood. I wasn't rushed with my followup appt in his office & the staff were attentive. Even though I am not happy with the results of my fall I am happy that Dr Stengel is taking care of me.

I am a former patient of Stengel.He botched my surgery and now I have no feeling in hand,drooping eye,and a smaller right leg than before surgery.I was offered NO FOLLOW UP CARE ,I beleive because he knew he messed up.Now, this is me for the rest of my life.I cannot give a good review of him.Please find another surgeon.
