Dr. Thomas Patrick Stern, MD

i went to dr stern because of sleep apnea. i have had 4 appointments and think the total time i have seen dr. stern was 20 minutes between all 4 of them. while the office is quick to take my money and just throw a CPAP machine at me, when i have issues, they just want to charge me more money. i went in there telling them that i couldn't breathe and they just wanted $100 for me to even see the doctor, to fix the machine that THEY gave me. Their out is, oh well its not our machine, it was another companies. They company that THEY told me to go to and that I met at THEIR office. no compassion at all. so now i am left $600 out of pocket for office visits, plus another $800 for the machine and they will not help me. the machine is affecting my ability to breathe. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Doctors are supposed to help, not just collect money and give you machines that don't work. Then when you have an issue just ask for more money. the girl at the office didn't even say hi to me. when i told her… my name, she just told me the amount due....where is your compassion?! especially in this time with everything going on with COVID 19. i would NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!

We've been coming to Dr. Stern for our son's sleep apnea since he was about 5. He's now 11 and we just love Dr. Stern. He's extremely knowledgeable, very professional and patient, and has a great bedside manner with our son. It's important to go to a specially trained pediatric sleep doctor, more so for us because our son has Down syndrome and needs a very competent specialist. He has always taken the time to explain everything in a way that's easy to understand and is always willing to answer all my questions. And I have usually have many!

My daughter sees Dr stern and has received the best care I can imagine. His caring and credentials are impeccable and his pricing is very respectable. I would rate him as high as one can rate and as a physician myself I am very discerning. He is simply the best!!’

Waited 1 hour in lobby and 1/2 hour in room! Took 5 min with me then told me I would have to see his Resp. Therapist (She is Awesome) to bad you have to see him first!

One of the worst doctors i've been ever to. Horrible experience will not go back and would not recommend. In addition to the horrible medical advice totally contradictory to what a doctor after him gave, the wait was long and he breezed in and out without looking at test results first at my follow up and didn't seem prepared.

Do not waste your money. I was horrified at the terrible level of care received. I was told: - anxiety was the cause of my insomnia (zero tests had been done) - after informing him I was on medications for sleep and anxiety, he said I'd never get better from either problem if I stayed on medication. I did not see any psychiatry degree in his wall. - stop all meds, lay in bed for 7 hrs/day, do "psychology meditations" if I couldn't sleep - prescribed the book "How to Cure Insomnia" from amazon.

Doctor is knowledgeable, answers my concerns, listens well. Respiratory therapists top notch as well. Office staff could improve organization and how they relate to patients.

Was recommended to follow up with him after hospital stay. Can't get in to see him for a month. Rediculous. Moving on!
