Dr. Thomas Alan Sullivan, MD

I saw Dr. Sullivan to look into my snoring. Dr. Sullivan entered the exam room with a younger man who he introduced as a physician as well. They conducted their examination which included listening to my lungs, looking down my throat and feeling my throat. Dr. Sullivan indicated he wanted to order a sleep study and stepped out of the room to check with his scheduler on availability. While he was gone I learned from the other doctor he was not a physician but rather a high school student who was debating going to medicine so he was shadowing Dr Sullivan. This upset me. I would have been ok with this kid sitting in on the examination and looking down my throat - I just didnt like being lied to. After my sleep study, I returned for a follow up consultation with Dr Sullivan. After a 45 minute wait in the crowded waiting area, Dr. Sullivans nurse came out and sat next to me. She provided me the test results from the sleep study and advise me Dr Sullivan had ordered me a C-PAP and… I would be getting a call from American Home Patient to arrange delivery. Long story short, The C-PAP machine ended up costing me 1300.00 through AHP They sell on the internet for $500. I wish I had pushed back on Dr Sullivan and done more research on my options instead of just defaulting to his direction. He is an old school Doctor with a God complex. No bedside manner.
