Dr. Thomas C. Turner III was raised in Mesa and graduated from Mesa High, just a half-mile from his office.
He attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a BS in Zoology. He went to dental school in Cleveland, Ohio, at Case Western Reserve University and graduated in 1998 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).
Dr. Turner has been practicing in the Valley since graduation and opened Mesa Family Dentistry with one employee in July 1999. In the last 15 years, the dental office has grown to include hygienists and several staff members.
Dr. Turner started his laser training in North Carolina in 2006 and purchased his Waterlase MD (hard- and soft-tissue laser) at the beginning of 2007. He has his associate fellowship in soft-tissue lasers from the World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI). He also has received his associate fellowship and full fellowship in hard-tissue lasers from WCLI. …He is currently working on his master's with the organization and has more than 75 hours of advanced training.
In 2008, Dr. Turner began teaching one day a week as a clinical professor at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health here in Mesa. He is excited to assist in training the next generation of dentists.
Dr. Turner has been married to his wife, Vikki, for 22 years and has four children. He lives in Mesa.
