Dr. Thomas Childress Vinson, MD

Dr. Vinson and his staff are highly professional and very caring. Dr. Vinson provides a strong level of leadership in that all of his staff members are responsive, attentive and empathetic. They are all quick to respond to questions whether my husband or I are in the office, or through a phone call or email. Both of us are grateful that Dr. Vison can ask questions that lead to problems that should be identified. We've both been patients for over 7 years and can't think about going to any other cardiovascular specialist.

I'm not normally one to post bad reviews. However, I am very direct. The staff are normally a reflection of who they work for or at least they should be. My mother recently had a stroke and part of that is stroke patients are usually easily frustrated early on, anxiety and hard to understand if speech was affected. This office should be aware of such things because of their specialty. I had initiated the call to schedule the appointment and left my number for the return call. I was told a referral was needed snd that they would call me once it was received. The hospital and my mothers PCP sent the referral. They should hv had two on hand. Note I didn't get a call from them like they said they would call once the referral was in Hand. My mom did her best in calling and the staff was rude to my mother. They lack kindness or compassion and used the blame game and them saying they called me. They did not and I am happy to pull phone records to prove their lie to my mother. Anyhow, if you… didn't have the two referrals as you state what would trigger the call? As when my mom called it was to check status and they told her they hadn't called because they didn't hv the referral.... my how the story changed. My mother had a stroke so her getting in to see this doctor means life or death especially since my mom is allergic to the one drug most commonly used to prevent further strokes. The last call where the office staff was rude to my mom her provider witnessed the call and how rude they were to my mom. My mom said his jaw dropped and he couldn't believe it! My mom was hurt and frustrated snd said she would file a complaint with the Medical Board which I now am urging her to do along with the provider who witnessed the call with her. When she made this comment to the lady they told her that they wouldn't take her as a patient because of her comment to add further insult to injury. My reason for this review is because I want the doctor be aware of the staff and their behaviors. It's a team effort and one bad apple tots the rest. Looking at some of the reviews online it appears that the office staff has been an issue in the past. Needless to say my mother has an appointment tmro with another doctor her provider re-routed her to. She made the appointment with ease and got in sooner because of their concern for her and her situation.

Without a doubt among the best I have seen. I am a 64 year old male with a 25 year history of heart issues, 4 vessel by-pass, heart failure. I trust him with my life

When I made my appointment I wasn't told they would be doing tests the first appointment. No consultation or getting to know me, right into a ultrasound and a stress test. I saw the doctor for no more than two minutes. He. Then wanted me to return for a blood test. When I came back for the blood test I waited for 20 minutes in a small room for him to come in and talk about my case with a student as the "subject" I was asked no more than 2 questions. He told me I didn't have to see him again and he'd call with the test results. Which didn't happen. After being promised twice they'd be mailed, the receptionist said can you come pick them up we don't have mailing supplies. Really? And your charge for this was $7000.00??? And I still have no idea why my heart rate is elevated!

I have been going to Dr. Vinson for many years. Not only has he helped me with my heart related issues but he has helped me with other medical issues. I could not ask for a better cardiologist and I would highly recommend him (and do) to anybody who needs a cardiologist. He cares and takes the adequate time to address all of your needs

Dr. Vinson is incredible! I've seen him for the past 5 years and I can say without a doubt that Dr. Vinson is one of the very best doctors around. He's super sharp, stays current on cardiology research, and truly cares about his patients. I highly recommend him.

I was in bad shape when I first met Dr. Vinson. It did not take long for him to find the right combination of medication to get my low blood pressure and irregular heart beat under control. He and his staff were very concerned, caring and available when needed. Visits to the office are quick and pleasant. I trust them with my life and would highly recommend them to anyone.
