Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics is very pleased to welcome its newest team member, Dr. Thomas Wenham, specializing in orthodontics. Dr. Wenham's education and training will bring a new dimension to the clinic and help create great smiles for your children.
Dr. Wenham was born and raised on a dairy farm in Milton, Wisconsin. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Following dental school, Dr. Wenham earned a Master's Degree and Certificate in Orthodontics from Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Wenham decided to return to the Badger State after completing his education. Joining him in Wisconsin is his girlfriend, Dr. Grace Ritz. She is also a dentist and will be practicing in the Madison area.
An avid collegiate and professional sports fan, Dr. Wenham closely follows all teams, especially the …Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers. He also enjoys playing golf and tennis and cheering for the Badgers at many home games.
Orthodontics at Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics
Dr. Wenham will be practicing orthodontics full-time at Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics. Now providing both dental and orthodontic treatment, the clinic offers the best complete care possible for your children. Dr. Wenham embraces the concept of early diagnosis and treatment when indicated.
Dr. Wenham's orthodontic training will allow him to treat a full range of orthodontic needs including skeletal and dental problems that are more complex. Cases that required a referral in the past can now be treated at Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics. These orthodontic problems include the following:
Older children whose treatment may require surgery for the most stable and aesthetic results.
Children that present craniofacial abnormalities, such as a cleft palate.
Conservative temporomandibularjoint (TMJ) problems.
Dr. Wenham's Master's Degree thesis involved three-dimensional X-ray changes to the TMJ. Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics has recently enhanced its practice to include digital X-ray technology. This will assist Dr. Wenham in the diagnosis of orthodontic and TMJ problems, while exposing patients to less radiation than conventional X-rays.
Dr. Wenham will also be seeing adult patients (especially the parents of children who are already being seen at Madison Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics). He will be accepting most insurance companies including Physicians Plus.
