Very poor doctor

Over the pass week and a half I'm finding it very hard to watch someone I love that went into the hospital under his care and have seen her health seriously decline with NO help from this doctor. It seems to me she would be in better care under a different doctor might and possibly save her life. Finding it to be very difficult to hold back my feeling best way of saying it is NEGLECTED locked away in a corner floor left unattended without a care that she is there for. I've been watching what is happening in front of my eyes and I feel as though she is being treated as a side road freak show! I do have a medical background and finding the reason and why questions unanswered. In fact she herself had no idea what she was being treated for until I asked what in the h**l was going on. Multiple choices and she is at huge disadvantage under his care. Please stop and think about who you treat and how you treat them. If we loose her multiple people's lives will be altered by your care or lack… there of.

I'm really surprised to see a negative comment, because I found Dr Whalen to be compassionate, sympathetic and attentive. I live a good distance away from my father, but Dr Whalen made sure that he was well cared for and kept me informed of what was being done. He coordinated effectively with multiple specialists for the best care for my father. His bedside manner and sense of humor were a great comfort. I could not have asked for better care for my dad.

This doctor made the mistake of prescribing a dangerous combination of drugs to me that are NOT supposed to go together. I took them , at the hospital , as prescribed and had an intense adverse reaction , and when the pharmacist saw the ones he'd written for me to fill after I got home from the hospital , she said that you NEVER take them together , that they could cause death . She called him and he , reluctantly and with an attitude , changed it . I called the hospital and spoke with him a few days later about it and he was extremely arrogant , called me a liar and said some extremely rude and personal things to me .....I couldn't believe it ! I reported him and wanted an apology of some type for all this , but it has been a month now , and no reply . I wouldn't recommend this doctor to anyone !! If he makes a mistake , he'll just cover his backside and ignore you !
